My Grandpa just died today from cancer. He was in a year long battle with it. In the process he had to have his bladder removed but he was still moving around. The past month or so it just got really bad. Last week my grandma went and got him a wheelchair and today my parents, aunts, and uncles were over there building a ramp to get to the door when he passed away in the house. Im proud of my grandma tho, when i got there she seemed to be holding up the best.

Now Christmas is going to be weird because this is going to be on everyones minds. Im sure on more than one occassion there will be someone crying. And then the services are on Thursday. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif He was a really good guy.

You Grandfather WILL be with you and your family during the holiday season. I had a friend that was killed shortly before Christmas a couple years ago and it helped me to think about what he would have wanted me to do during the holidays. You can be sad that he is not physically there with you or celebrate the time that you had together with him.

I know almost what your gonig through. On the 16th of this month my grandfather was rushed off to the hospital with a heart attack. Ended up getting a tripple bypass on thursday, he should be coming home tomorrow but now they don't think so... To top it off my grandmother has alzheimers and she can't be left alone and he was her care taker.
