stephen, i am finally getting around to installing my shackle flip, and while i was grinding away at those lovely rivets, noticed that my reciever hitch bracket is in the way where the bottom bolts up to the frame....my question is, would it be ok to notch out the flip bracket by about 1" by 1" to clear the hith mount? am i making this clear, cause i kinda confused my self!! let me know if you need some more details!!

    thanks rob

  2. Notching it is just fine. I actually just drilled a hole in mine and dropped the hitch a quarter inch when I had a hitch on it. Either way works. That bottom flange doesn't do a whole lot out there toward the outside.
