Re: Anyone wanna run Wellsville before winter???

    Hell yeah!!!

It would probably have to be late October or early November for me.....assuming I don't grenade anything while running Widowmaker down in Slade.......

With the rollcage in maybe I'll have enough courage to try Chicken Coup........

    Oh....they're not that bad...
They look steep when you're standing at the bottom...
but once you get on them...they're NOT steep at all...
in fact...I climbed the rocks on the bottom of chicken...
once I get up half way...I was able to turn around.

Now Killer and Scoobie...are a little steeper...
My buddy Jason broke a driveshaft on Scoobie...
    he didn't roll to far!!! /forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif

Believe it or not I got my transfer case back in and I may be road worthy in the next week or so.

If you're heading out the last weekend or so in October I should have that off from school.
I'm not gonna be able to run off-road since the front driveshaft issue still isn't fixed but I can come with shott pics and jeer everyone! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Assuming I don't "chicken" out. I wouldn't even go DOWN this hill last time I was there....but that was with rusted-out seat and belt mounts and no cage.........

Is this right off one of the gravel roads, like going back towards one of the parking lots????? We went up a hill they were call Scoobie-Do over Easter. It didn't seem real bad......but you didn't want to get too far to the right at the top because it was a long way down.......

Chinese and Ugly were way fun at Easter......sounds like they may be even better now. The first time I went up Chinese water fall my tailgate popped open and shattered the rear window /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

I think the Big Water fall is the one where Mike grenaded a front and rear axle on the Willy's at the same time over Easter.

    6.2

    Yep...You got it right...
Mike told me..you guys hit just about everything..
Some of the old trails are like new trails due to the wash-outs...though...
You can run the "Rock Garden" know the tree is cut..
    There's a NEW trail....rite by that tree...big rocks..
Ugly Trail has even gotten uglier..
The upper end of the Crack...is where madmike flopped his rig.

As Time goes on...Wellsvile is getting more challenging..

Man, Wellsville is far away. I finally found it on the map. It's basically in Penn. I just don't have enough pocket change for towing gas for Wellsville but I'd love to wheel with you guys sometime. If you ever go someplace near or this side of Columbus let us know.

Unfortunately most of the good wheelin' spots in Ohio are in the Eastern/southeastern part of the state. It's pretty flat and boring between Columbus and Indiana.

Re: Anyone wanna run Wellsville before winter???

Front shaft prob, amounts to: Got new headers and clocked my case, now my shaft is too short ( /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif ) and the y pipe is in the way big time!

I'm driving it around a bit to get the bugs worked out since it hasn't been used in over 2 years.
But ny tranny started leaking again and shifting a little weird.
The leak I'll find and cure, but not sure about the shifting. I guess I'll just have to keep the RPMs down a bit.

A little electrical work (windows, and stereo), a minor tune up to get the idle back down and she should be ready to roll again.

Now if I can just bring myself to cut holes in my bumper to run my frame mounted shackles through. /forums/images/graemlins/hack.gif

    Hey 6.2
When's the next local meeting here in town?

I have an idea for you..
    Meet 6.2 in Columbus...
and then drive close behind him...and draft... /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Mark you should really consider going to this run...
No other wheelin'park is like Wellsville...
    It's MUCH cheaper...then going to Badlands..at $10 a day...with camping...
it's also 3 times as big.

You can cut tree's if needed...
if fact...you can cut a trail.
I think it would be cool...if we started a trail ourselves.. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
There are some good trails...that were just made this year. /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif

    Also...We'll be doing a night run... /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif
It cool to spectate...on Scooby at night..
Those buggy guys really get crazy..

    skratch

Maybe...the trans is acting funny due to the lost fuild.. /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

It must be nice...to get it going again...Congrats!!! /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

Let me know if you need anything.. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

    Jerry
The trany has plenty of fluid, that was the first thing we checked.
I'm gonna reset the TV cable and swap in my other governor and see if that fixes the shift issue.

    6.2
Unfortunatly I have a meeting at Chruch Tuesday night so I'm gonna miss that again.
Oone of these days I'llget myself scheduled better so I an actually make some of these get togethers.

Since I am terrible at remembering the names of each hill and such. I think it was Scooby though. When you come into the "V"(hills going up both ways), this hill was on the far left. There was a 3-4 foot rock ledges that we jumped and landed on top of and then continued up the hill and jumped a 2-3 foot ledge at the top. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Buggies are fun for stuff like that! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif But the climb was still freakin scary! LOL I was telling the guy how I was afriad of rolling and such. So on our way back down he gets the front end over the top ledge and then grabs the steering brake and shot us sideways on a very steep part of the hill. After I realized I didn't fill my shorts, I did realize that the things was extremely stable in most positions.
The last trip down to Wellsville we encountered some more buggies. They were coming down a hill that was almost completely verticle! /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif
