Im sure this question has already been asked a thousand times but i would really like everyones opinions on which is better? I know that a 208 is lighter but will it hold up and what am i going to have to change since my k5 is full time? Thanks,

I like the 203, it has 4-hi, 4-hi lock, 4-lo, 4-lo lock, and neutral. Of course that's without a part time kit. I feel that weight is not an issue when it comes to the important things such as drivetrain. Go big or go home! /forums/images/graemlins/truck.gif

Anyone tried the 3:1 gearset for the NP203? Wagoner Machine makes it apparently.

    Is it out already?
I thought it was still in the R&D stage.

That could be a reason not to switch.

I was on Wagoneer Machines web site and they have it advertised for sale, so it must be out. They wanted a $1000 for it.

IIRC, it costs less to add 4:1 to the NVG241...

I just like the NP203 for the AWD in winter.

its been out for at least 18 months. i think you are thinking of the 3:1 kit for the 205. not gonna come out i think, but the one for the 203 is so spendy because they machine the hll outta the case.

i think any1 that pays $1000+ to have 3.0:1 on a 203 or a 205 is smokin crack. Just get a 3.8 Atlass and be done with it....

why? someday, once i am filthy rich, i'll be running the 3.1:1 203 range box in the front of my doubler.

    1:1 Hi
    1.96:1 Lo
    3.1:1 Really Low
    6.076 Stupid Low
