Does anyone know if the NP205 was ever mated with the 700R from factory???

Cool group. This is my first time posting here. I spend most of my time over at Wulf's Den www.blazer-net.com

    thanks,

Welcome to the board. From what I've seen, we're way more off road oriented at CK5. As for the factory matings, I sure don't think so but I could be wrong. I think all the 700 had behind it was a 208 and a 241. Once again, welcome aboard. And if you get a chance fill out your profile so we can see where you live, what you drive, what kind of beer you like, ect. haha

    Later, Bryan

    Howdy, and welcome!
As far as I know the 205 was never behind the 700r4. But if you have a 205 that was set up with a TH350, it should be compatible with the 700 as they have the same spline count of 28. Where as a 205 that came off a TH400 would have the 32 teeth spline count. I currently have a 203/350 set up, but I'll be swapping to a 205/700 set up. I already have the 205, so when I'm ready I'll build up a 700. Not eveyone is a fan of the 700, but the low first gear is nice and I NEED the OD.

It's not what you buy, it's what you build!

Nope, no factory 700-205 combos. Look for a 1980 TH350 versioned 205 and its adapter. It should bolt right to a 700.

yeh, i resently put a 700 back in my blazer. The 208 that originally came with the truck fit the th350 that i put in when i bought it, so i would imagine that the 205 would fit also(with the different spacers)
