I remember reading somewhere that a shift lever for the np205 was still available from GM. Does anyone know what specific application I need to ask for, or better yet, a part number?

I have a shift lever from a 70 GMC Jimmy, but it will not work in my 78 Blazer without major trans tunnel hacking. Even after cutting the trans tunnel, it hits the lower portion of the dash before it will shift into all positions.

Dont think the 70 GMC had a 205 in more likly it was a dana 20. You dont say what trany your running, yet I think the 205 uses the same shifter in most cases. I have one that is just getting dust if you want it.
