Any good tranny shop should me able to get a bearing kit and any other parts ya might need.
But if you don't have the tools to disassemble the case It can be a PITA.

i got my kit and installed it about 2yrs ago. i use my blazer as a daily driver and have put about 50+ miles in it. no problems. they also sell the service manuals for the 205s.
BTW the kit back then was around 125 + one sleeve.

which tools do you think he might need?
all i can think of is a snap ring plier that will do those goofy snap rings, and that would be for reassembly, the snap rings can be removed easily with a few screwdrivers.
a press will be used for shimming the bearings on the countershaft.
    but what else??
