I have a TH350 that has a NP203 on it that is off of a 79 K5. I also have a TH700 that has a NP208 tha is off of a 85 K5. I was woundering what I would need to do to bolt the NP208 to the TH350? Will I need to do anything besides buy a adapter, or is it a direct bolt in. /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif

All you should need to do is get the correct adapter.

So the spline count should be the same? Also is the np208 a female input shaft?

Yes, it will bolt right on. I believe it is female input. Either way, there was a stock TH 350 NP 208 setup, you just need to find the right adapter. They're kinda hard to find, as far as I know they only came in 81-85 trucks.

if you find the adapter, i think you also have to get a
longer output shaft to make up the difference in space the
    Adapter causes,

I am pretty sure when i was reading over at off road design that the t350 has a output that sticks out 7/8" and the 700 with 208 sticks out like 2" you will need to swap this and you may also have some clearence problems with the bearing but the adapter you have should work with a little fine tuning. Read over at off road design Theres more info and he may even have the parts.

Yeah advance adpators sells the sdaptor and the shaft for around $200. I am currently doing this swap as well I picked up a TH350 that had a 208 on it originaly. Not sure on driveshaft issues yet. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
