My 208 is shot so I need a new tcase. I am thinking about putting in a 241 inplace of the old 208. (heavier GVW & lower gear). But my question is this.

Are they the same shape and size? Do they drop in the exact same spot as the 208? I have a custom 4x4 Iron 208 crossmemeber and I don't want to have to ditch it if at all possible. Am I going to have clearence problems with the 241?
Also, are they the same length and the same spline output? Will my slipyoke from the 208 driveshaft work? is the front output the same?

    Thanks

    Harley

I had one of each laying in my garage floor for over a year, so I can safely say they are the same. Same adapter, same length, same mounting, same spline if it came off the same tranny, even same shifter. It will bolt right in /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
