yup...its an easy swap. just swap out the tail shaft extension and all the little gears and c-clip things. May sound confusing, but you will see what Im talkin about.

The hardest part of the whole swap is droppin the driveshaft!!

If you already have a 241 with a mech. speedo just swap the parts in. They use the same shaft just a different housing and gear on the shaft. Easy swap and should only take about 30 minutes to do.

His current case is broken also, he needs the part where the speedo gears are mounted but the dealer doesnt sell that item anymore, GM discontinued it.

I got another question though, how hard would it be to convert the truck from mechanical to electric speedo?

I did the swap to the 241 with jb conversions short shaft kit.it was out of a 90 burb into my 88 blazer. autometer makes a electronic speedo that can be adapted. or you'll have to find a gauge cluster from a 90-91 blazer or burb.

I have a 241 from an 89. I really don't want to part it out but it is my spare for the 90 so if I use it I will change it to electronic. PM me an offer on the parts you need and I'll think about parting it.
