\'Nuther engine install question. Assembly lube?

I'm about to install my intake on my crate 350. The parts guy at GM sold me a bottle of E.O.S. assembly lube. Since I bought the engine already assembled, I'm wonderin' if I got suckered into buying something I don't need.(it was only $5 so oh well..) I figure I'm just gonna pour this stuff down in the lifter valley and in the distributor hole to the oil pump. Sound like a plan?? Be ready, more dumb questios are sure to follow....

Lots of engine builders suggest adding a quart of EOS to the engine oil for the initial startup, so that was $5 well spent. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Yeah, that is what I did on my 454...I just poured it all over the lifters and rockers and pushrods...And it eventually drained to the pan and was ready to help with my cam breakin...
