Am rebuilding a 4500. I need an output shaft. Where's a good place to buy one? I bought the bearing and seal kit from
JB Conversions. JB said they don't carry 4500 parts anymore but had this one kit left. thanks

That's an excellent site for 4500 parts and info. Thanks!

Got a quote for a new main shaft (aka output shaft) $312 for
a GM type. This company makes a beefed up Cummins shaft, but not (yet) for GM 4500s. The difference is Cummins is 29 spline and the GM 32 spline. The beefed up section of the shaft features longer engagement area for better contact with the OD gear. AFAIK thats the only modification.

They also have a rebuild video for 4500s, and all the small parts to do a proper rebuild.
