700R4 seems to slip out of OD on the highway. Just revs real high, but no clunks or noises. All other behavior is normal. Ideers?

Worn out OD clutches perhaps? If it's slipping in OD, the tranny needs to come out and be fixed. Driving it further only increases the chances that there will be hard part failure resulting in even more costly repairs.

Any idea on ballpark for a rebuild? Not looking for anything special, because after the 1-ton stuff goes in after tax returns, I'll be looking for something a bit beefier /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
