i like to go wheelin' in my K5 blazer
those big-ass hills don't even phase her.
there's only one time i've gotten her stuck
(it was kinda my fault, don't blame the truck).
with some meatier tires, and a 4" lift
i'll climb mt. whitney, and not have to shift.
she'll carry my wife, my kids and my dogs
she'll scoot down the road like a box of mad frogs.
the exhaust rumbles, and the stereo cranks
to the guys at gm, i have to give thanks.
they designed a rig that's tough for life
if only my views were shared by my wife!

Re: ode to a blazer & Miss\'n Sled Dog

This is good! In my humble opinion we need more of this... Too much stress can happen upon us, being so serious about the mech. shape or problems of our rigs.

Our old friend Sled Dog is the Master K5 spinster! Looking forward to him being back soon! [IMG]

not too long before this thread, there was a post about speed terms, like a striped-ass ape, a scalded cat, a mad banshee, etc. anyway, someone replied with 'a box of mad frogs'.
besides, i needed something to rhyme with dogs!
hard to believe i wrote that almost a year ago. i think i did a handful of other ones, too. i'll have to get...um...er...creative (yeah, thats it. creative) and whip up a new one. especially now that i've got another year of stuff breaking!
