I've got a 78 K5 with dual exhaust which was imported from Oregon to California. Anyone know if the Dual (stock looking) exhaust without a catalytic converter was stock, or did 78 have a cross-over pipe into a catalyitc originally for california emissions. Anyone pass the sniffer lately in Californai on a 78 without catalytics?

I passed smog two years ago with duel exhaust and no cats. A friend of mine had a 79 with a single exhaust and a cat. By the way mine is a 77.

78 Blazers came oth ways. With cats and without cats. Walker exhaust catalog shows both used that year. I dont remember california emissions footnotes on cat application, should be OK but check with an exhaust shop to make sure.
