    i am going to be do some painting on my odr 203/205 and was thinking what did GM paint them?? -- i just may go with gm orange what did you do ??

    I don't believe my '73 SM465/205 ever had paint on them. I think my '86 3sp trans (2wd) has black paint on it, but it's hard to tell with all the sludge on it :) ). Mabey they started painting them in the later years.

    I used Hammered silver in 'brush on' form for my 205 and 203 and NV4500

    GM didn't bother to paint them. They just ended up being rust colored after a while.

    Mine was originally GM red/orange, I squirted it GM orange when it was out. The tranny was rust/grease colored, painted it black. I used engine paint on both.
