    Hello Dear Jeep Pals,

We are passionate off-road enthusiasts ourselves who are currently studying automotive engineering. In the course of writing our thesis about -you guessed it- off road vehicles, we´ve developed a stabilizer disconnection concept for the after market. It is pretty much like the `07 Jeep Wrangler’s ASBS. Before we go to expenses (prototype, etc..) -and for that would have to sell our own jeeps (oops!)- we are now trying to estimate our chances on the world’s biggest off-road market, the U.S. market. You would do us a great favour if you participated in our survey:

    http://offroad.of.ohost.de/phpsurveyor/index.php?sid=1

If you have any further questions or suggestions please feel free to send us an e-mail to:

    p.schumeyer@hotmail.de or wendemann@hotmail.de

    Thanks for your help.
    Best regards from Germany

    Patrick and Karsten

Since you did not ask for any information about who I am and it was anonymous , I took your little survey .

I actually would like a automatic disconnecting swaybar for the truck that also sees street driving . There is enough of a market for one here if you count all makes of vehicle , but it has to be affordable .

A big plus is if you made a system compatible with various steering systems . A lot of people here who have custom steering and large lifts forgo any street manners and run no swaybar , even if htey drive many street miles .

And please don't use the words OFF ROAD , we don't go OFF ROAD . We stick to designated trails to insure safety of ourselves and nature .

Automatic sway bar disconnects seem pretty fancy.

I like the ability to stay clean at times :D Or to play when ever I want without getting the pins out etc for ramping at meet and greets , and to just be plain lazy

Here in Iraq, Ive had a chance to see all kinds of cool trucks from different countries and when I ask them what it is, they all seem to say a Jeep. Basically anything built for "off road" use is called a jeep, as it would seem.

Hi everybody, thanks for the response so far. Actually in Germany "Jeep" is used for all kind of off-road vehicles. So, to all the Chevy drivers: "I´m sorry:crazy:" Also the word "off-road" is used in a more common sense in Germany. If it´s not on a tarmac road (highway, etc..), it´s "off-road". I will mind all your advices.

That is the way I am headed too. Seems that crossover steering limits your choices.

I dont run swaybars but I like the idea of an auto disconnect system. And possibly if one could develope a linked-torsional type swaybar for use with crossover. I took the survey anyways.:D

Ony my truggy would never think about it but possibly on the 71 k5 weekend warrior. They also have a system like that on the new dodge powerwagons. And no worries on the "Jeep" calling, he has enough to deal with writing a thesis than changing the titles on ever message board he posts on. Good luck with it man, post updates on your project :waytogo:
