    oh. . . i just can\'t decide! maybe a sbc buildup?

well i've been throwing around ideas of building a 454 up real nice, but with my recent dilemma of having to rebuild my tranny i'm thinking maybe i should build up the 350 prety nice so i can pull a pretty penny for it when i finally do get a big block. so for the rest of the summer i want to do the simpler in truck mods i can afford, like rockers, headers, intake manifold, carb. then maybe this winter i can pull the engine and finish off the plans, with some new pistons, head work, and a nice lightly used blower.

Basically, how much horsepower could i expect from these mods? I have a stock 350 crate engine that originally had 250hp and all done to it is a new distributor.

    Weiand Action + Intake manifold
    Edelbrock 670cfm AVS Thunder car
    Harland Aluminum 1.6 Roller rockers
Shortey Headers - so i don't have to completely rework exhaust.

I can't think of any other in truck mods, and i don't really want to have to do a cam swap in the truck. how much power do you think that would be pushing? and the that plus a 280 or so cam?
    thanks,
    red

Heres a good link to read on easily building a 350 crate.

A simple cam swap, manifold and headers will do wonders.
The stock heads can perform satisfactory. The largest cam I would use with stock heads is something like the Comp HE268.
Good cam, lots of torque in stock setups.

Simple but affective change is roller rockers. Worked out great on the 350 in my '73 Camaro. I'm going with it on the 400 I'm puttin in the Blazer.
