    Re: OH MY GAWD!!! - 4 9500i\'s for $215!

Click on the link under Sandman.

He found a website with an incorrect listing price for the 9500i, and the 9500. These were listed for $45.79 each!

I took a chance, and ordered four of the 9500i on Dec 23. They arrived at my house on Dec 27th. I just checked my card again, and I was only charged $215!

I also ordered four 9500, my card was charged, but no shipping was charged - the charge has not gone COMPLETELY through. My credit card company says it is still being "authorized". Hence, I don't think I will be seeing the 9500s. But if I DO see them, I SHOULD see them today when I get home. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

what did they say...i really dont think they can do anything to you...even if they did take you to court its not like you stole them...they sold em to you at that price and charged you credit card and shipped them to you..may not be the most ethical thing but hey..i would have jumped on it too if i would have got there fast enough..good luck

    Like they said.
When you list something, it's your mistake, it's your responsibility.
If you go to a store, and they ahve something marked for 5bucks, and they try to charge you 10, you can argue that they have it listed for 5 and they can't refuse. They can change the mrkings after you got yours but they have to honor the price tag.
Even more if they actually charge you the tagged price and then after you recieve the merchandize they realise. They can't do anything, let them bite you in the a**

Hey... if you sell some let me know if you get an extra. I know fat chance seems there's lots of others ahead of me here... but I am local and could pick it up. Thanks!

BTW I think if the charge went through and they didn't catch it it's tough crap for them. Seriously... I don't think they can do a thing here seeing how it's on their end the goof occurred and not your fault they were incompetent. I mean hello to them... they listed it wrong, they didn't catch it on the order when it went though to be charged, didn't catch it again when packing the order and they didn't double check before shipping it out. Sounds like they are 100% fault and you got a great deal and they have nothing to blame you for.

    Re: OH MY GAWD!!! - 4 9500i\'s for $215!

    Ok so here's the deal.

Basically, they "F"'d up. I understand that. I certainly would HATE to be in their shoes.

I am a System's Administrator and I suspect their system is quite automated.

Background - Reliable Autowebmerchant is THE store/distributor, Todds' Auto World is the store "front" in use (really paid for month to month) by a "commoner" like you and me. I wonder who is paying for the incorrect item (loss). As I understand it, Todd's autoworld can change the prices at will. Reliable autoweb set's "default" pricing.

I printed all the specifics of this purchase, from my account/shipping information, the individual pricing of the Winches, the total of the Winches (including shipping), and the order confirmation number of the winches. They show up in two days.

They emailed me today - saying... "I did receive your order on those parts, however the price that was listed is incorrect... As mentioned in the Terms and Conditions portion of the site we are not responsible fo rthe mispriced items. We will be billing your credit card $637.49 unless you would like to return the winches..."

This to me CONFIRMS that I can STILL GET THE FOUR WINCHES FOR $637.49 as this email implies...However /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

    ****************************************************
    TERMS and CONDITIONS
from Todd's Accessory world as listed on

    http://www.autowebmerchant.com/r6010830/termsconditions.asp?mscssid=ADWL079L48SE8P85T5PX2XGHD9KGDS57

    Pricing Errors
If a product is listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error or error in pricing information we’ve received from our suppliers, we reserve the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for product listed at the incorrect price. If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is canceled, we will issue a credit to your credit card account in the amount of the incorrect price.
    ********************************************************

I would accept this, if my order was accepted, they charged my card, and CANCELLED the shipping and the order. Now IF I did not recieve product, they would reverse the charges on the card. This is NOT the case.

    What happened IS:
My order did go through, my card was charged, the order was not cancelled, and I received the product.

I CERTAINLY AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR MISPRICED product!

I am pretty sure - LEGALLY - I am good to go.
I suppose - It boils down to a moral maybe ethical dilemma.

    What would YOU do?

Seriously though, if you wanted to you, you could keep them I'm pretty sure. Well as far as a court case goes anyway. Bascially like you said, it's a moral thing...
