got a call from my wife a few mins ago, she was driving home from work and got in a wreck. Her car is "trashed" and she was very hysterical on the phone and stuff. :( she said she is physically OK, so thats good, but I'm worried about her cause she sounds really traumatized. I can't leave work and even if I did abandon my post (and get myself fired) it'd take 2 hours to get to her cause I took the bus to commute. :( this sucks. :(

Glad that your wife is ok, sorry about her car, hopefully insurance will cover everything. Anyone else hurt? How long till you get home from work?

Similar thing happened to a guy I worked with. He was in Spain doing an installation when he got a phone call his wife had been in a serious wreck...:eek1:

It took a few hours to ge a flight home, plus the 9 hours on the plane...from what i hear he was an absolute wreck by the time he got to the hospital. She did make a full recovery though.

I hope your wife is OK...

'cause I'm the only guard that isn't on vacation right now, and Wells wants its vault secure. If my wife had been headed to the hospital or injured in any way, I could have got my super to come in and cover my shift, but the commute + drive would take hours and I'd still have to come back to work which would suck even more. Just gonna have to wait until my shift is over. Thanks for the well-wishes amigos, hopefully everything turns out OK. We do have collision etc in our insurance policy (had to, car loan) and now I'm sure glad we do! Anyway, thanks guys... I'll post an update when I know more.

I've got a wife and son so I know how easily things can worry you. I'm not much for prayer but my deepest sympathies go out to you and your family.

Ah, that sucks. I hope it comes out alright and she really is ok.

Just remind her there are hundreds of car wrecks every day, everyone's bound to have one someday...

That sucks, glad to hear things are OK (other than the car). My wife wrecked our car today too. It really sucks because her new (to us) minivan is sitting in the driveway and the car is my new DD:doah:
