I think I have an oil passage blocked...my valve covers leak at all times, I have new valve covers, new xtra thick gaskets with metal inserts and the xtra hold down tabs...it still leaks on the back side of the gasket...I think the oil is pooling up. IS there a way to tell if this is the case and how would I fix it?
Could compressed air blow it out some how?

You can run some marvel mystery oil. That'll make it squeaky clean. The best gaskets I've ever had were the tough cork gaskets with metal inserts. Those are the only ones that didn't leak on mine. I'll bet it's just a gasket leak though.

If you take the valve covers off, you will see the drainback holes in teh front and rear of the head, at the lower corners. Mine too was plugged partially, but having a steep driveway didn't help. I just jammed a screwdriver down there and got all teh crud out I could. PO didn't care much for changing the oil obviously!
