well lets just say you had an 83 ramcharger (thats like a k5 right) and every now and then the oil presure idiot light came on, but only after about ten minutes of driving, what do you think could be wrong? please keep in mind the ramcharger was free, and came with the winch that's now on the front of my k15, so be nice.

I'm not much of a Dodge buff but either the oil pump is going out or the bearings. If it isn't knocking yet then most likely a new oil pump will cure it.
You will have the pan off to do a oil pump so get some plasti-gage and check the rod and main bearings.

first things first. Check and see if it is the sending unit or a short causing the light to come on. i.e. Try a new sending unit or check the oil pressure with a mechanical gage.

When all else fails... Check the blinker fluid.

I'm with Sparky on this one. Check the easy stuff before you panic. Did you say dodge, I didn't think so.

If you are having too much fun it's probably illegal.

Diddo on the easy stuff. Lets say that your motor is worn out. When it gets to operating tempature the oil gets thinner and flows easier, causing less pressure and possibly making the light come on. Just a possibility
