I've got all the stuff to finally do up my 12 bolt rear...and I now have the 4.10's in my hands and am having second thoughts...I want to run 36" tires, and I have a 350 with the SM465 manual...I need to have driveability (read:65 mph at less than 3500 rpm)...and have seen the charts at 4lo.com...but I want firsthand experience...any advice? Should I do the 4.10's or return them and get 4.56's??

Might want to check out the exchange on the 4:27 or 4:56 post. Have lots of feedback and experiences there. If the rig were mine, I'd go steeper, alot steeper with 36s.

    I have a 77 with 12 bolt rear and run 35" tires, have np205 t case and sm465 tranny, at 3k rpm's I am running 70 mph. 2850 for 65. I run up to 3500 rpms on the highway and thats 80 to 85 mph. I am glad I went with 4.56.

Go for the 4.56's. Check out some of the other "gears" posts in the past few days. The info you need to hear has been discussed lately.
