OK this is the plan now and we aint changein it anymore. me,kevin, kpanza, hisbro, frizzlefry, and whoever else want to we are driving to syder lake friday when we get to the con. we will camp there for the night. it is buy little sluice so it will give goldrush his time to play on the sluice box. they we will wait for the guys on saturday morning to get there. we would like to hit the trail by no latter then 8:30 am. we are going to run to buck island and camp there as planed. we will see how time goes on the trail. we might just get up sunday morning and run around a little bit and then head back out to loon lake. i have headr that after cadilac hill it is pretty much a boring ride the rest of the way. so that is the plans and we arte stickin to it /forums/images/icons/smirk.gif we will be on channel 37 on the cb. so when you get there try and get in touch with us. ok so does this meet everyones likeings? i hope we are all satisfied with this new plan.

Sounds like a plan to me...that should work out nicely. I guess only time will tell, since once we get on the trail we will see if our plans will hold up! /forums/images/icons/smile.gif Well, then, I guess that myself and my brothers will meet Frizz in Fresno and come on up...I think Chaz is going to try to meet us as well on our journey up...so be on the lookout for us! We are going to try and leave Fresno around 8 or so, and I have heard that it will be a 5 hour trip...so should be arriving hopefully around 1 or 2PM? We will trade cell #s and stuff (hope they work up there!)...how long does it take to get in to Spider Lake? Will we have enough time to get there if we arrive later afternoon? I was kinda looking forward to relaxing a little after all the driving up there, but we'll do whatever...

I think that all of these other people's experiences are great and help us to pre-plan, but the only thing that will determine where we go and how long it takes is to actually RUN THE TRAIL! /forums/images/icons/smile.gif I mean, we could get lucky, have no breakdowns or traffic and just fly through, or we could run into traffic, maybe have a few breakdowns and get nowhere...it's just something that we can't know until we're actually there. I think we should just stick to our plan on how we are starting the trail, and everything after that will fall into place, one way or the other.

I think we are "out-thinking" ourselves here a little now...let's just see what happens when we get out there.

The last gas stop is in Pullock Pines, Sly Park exit and if you drive anything like my chevy you will need to stop and fill up before heading in. Also ice house is about 10-15 min after that exit. I sure you will find at least on of us running that way and tag along

Placerville is the last 'full-size' town but Po.Pines has stuff too.
And I agree with this 'over-kill' on the planing!
    Here is my plan
    Drive to Rubicon trail
    Wheel Rubicon trail
Stop at night fall and Drink Beer untill sleep
Roll out of K5 in am and make Coffee and bacon
    Wheel back down Rubicon
    Drive home

    Simple egh!
    See ya all there
    YYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!
