It is more obvious when going about 25. It seems to be a slower rpm sound than the average workings of the drivetrain. It sounds like somone walking on a treadmill under my floorboard. I am hoping I am just hearing my spedo cable or somehting like that but I have a bad feeling it is tranny related. Does this sound familiar at all? It seems to stop when I come to a stop if that helps.

rear u-joint about to go out? Loose or bent drive shaft....kinda like a tapping sound? Tranny problems are usually more noticable in shifts or shifts that never happen....is it from beneath you or further back?

What? You think the hole is too deep? Lemme see...

You got oil and ATF in the Diff and Case?

I don't need no damn shop manual, I got a pornographic memory.

Muffler bearing, nope, I checked those. And my Flux Capasitor is fulxin like a mofo!

Is kind of a constant very light metal grinding sound. Alot like someone running on a treadmill. A constant pitch with a stronger bip about every half second moving about 25.

**It seems to be coming out right at the tranny hump.

**I havent checked my diff yet. I need to do that.

**I have a blown seal between the tranny and xcase

**I just got both the rear ujoints replaced. They were totaly trashed. A few joints had obliterated needle bearings and one was dried up and rusted.

The front driveshaft only moves when 4wd is enguaged right?

    Man, I need a tape recorder! :)

Thanks for all the tips so far!
