OK, K5 Guru\'s - Here is a good question about 10B rear and ft. axles

I have two old rear 10B axles lying around. I need to put new gears into my front 10B axle but I do not want to spend the time to tear my Ft axle apart then replace the pinion and ring gear, etc.... and leave the axle torn down during this time. Which would mean I would be without transport for a little while.
So, Can I take the pinion assembly (including the mounting plate) out of one of the rear 10B axles and replace the pinion with the gear I need then put it into the front axle....and.....at the same time, can I take out the ring gear assembly and put the new 4.56 gear on the then install it into the front 10B????

    Anybody have info on this????

    Chris
