OK... man this is turning into a little nightmare!

OK, my timing indicator (the little thing that bolts to the timing cover and indicates 0 deg. etc.) is not for a 350 engine... it is too small.

well here is my debate, I am wondering how common of a part this is (whether or not my local parts stores will have it), or whether I should try to modify the one that I have... now I have looked at this thing, and if I were to cut it, and then bolt it together I can get it really close...

now this would be a big project, but I don't really want this project to get behind too much...

Most chain parts stores (AutoZone, Checker, etc.) will likely have one - look in the chrome accessories section.

well, good bad or whatever I ended up cutting the thing, flattening everything really good, and making where it should be... I then used some JB weld to put this thing together so I'm crossing my fingers and hoping this will work. [IMG]

if this does work it will save me some pretty good time in running for parts tomorrow... my heads arrive tomorrow so I am trying really hard to get everything else put together before then...

with a little (I man a whole lot) of luck I'll be putting this thing in tomorrow night. now I don't hope to have everything hooked back up by then, but I do hope to have the thing sitting inside the engine compartment...

Cool deal!! JB Weld should hold with no problem - if it doesn't hold, they don't cost more than 4 or 5 bucks.

    Clean up on aisle 3!!
