    one of my friends has that as a 4' portrait. Its one of the best pics i have ever seen.

    Ya never know where it's really from, unless you find the original article/author. It was a very large print the first time I saw it.

    x2, a couple of years ago, it was mine for a little while. I think I still have it on a disc somewhere. It's an awsome pic, for sure.

    I am not 100% sure, but I am pretty sure thats the Bitteroot River in southwest Montana taken by a Forest Service guy during the fire season of 2000. I drove through there in the Fall of 2000. It was a really bad fire. One forest service told us it was a sterilizing burn that got so hot it killed all the nutrients in the soil, and nothing would grow there for a while. It was in MT newspapers as well.:wink1:

    I'm almost positive your right. I remember when it came over the wire at the newspaper I was working at at the time. That was a bad summer. The smoke was so thick you could hardly breathe

    My cous works for the BLM and he says yep that was summer 2000 remembers the pic real well I worked at sears then and we had people coming in buying air purifiers constantly. We got shipments every day and ran out every day
