Last night, I stopped a car with no driver After a long chat with the occupants of car #2 that was following the car with no driver, it was determined that the gentleman that immediately got handcuffed and placed into the back seat of my car was in fact the phantom driver. Unfortunately for my arrestee, I don't think he learned his lesson. It seems that I had forgotten to double lock the cuffs and due to his overactive personality, said cuffs were cranked down by him while wiggling around in the back seat. I also don't believe that he learned the lesson about driving a car on the roadway that was a too big of a POS to be labeled a hooptie. I also ran my ticket book dry writing the violations up. That little bit of my definately beats out the stolen car that I bounced right before the end of shift. It always helps us out that the driver of said stolen vehicle decides to return back to the car's home.
