Well Roger has pulled 20,000+ with a dually with no problems. Next time you see him ask him about how many times he got busted for being overweight. Most of the fines he got with the yellow and white regualar cab dually which has a 350 in it. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

A K30 with a 6.2L can pull just about any amount weight. Its how fast you need to go with that weight. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I would safely say that 10,000lbs is a good number. Should be able to go 55mph pretty easily. It just may take a minute or ten to get there.. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Loaded question. Depends on the gear. I think with a 4.10 geat and stock 31's your looking at 19k combined GVWR. That the weight of truck, tailer and everything in them. Truck empty that would be about 12k. I think it's 16.5k with the 3.73.

Problem is with the 4.10 gear your really winding out the engine to do 70mph. 3.73 is a better gear if your not going to need to pull that sort of weight often.

A local guy has a M1028 and it should have 4.56's, so my highway speed is really gonna suck, but that's ok, I do not plan on going over 55 with the Jimmy in tow.

I pulled a CH-53E helicopter weighing about 51,000lbs with a CUCV (the pickup-can't remember if it's the M1008 or 1009) after our aircraft tug died on Sand Hill at 29 Palms. It was in 4Lo, in hardpack dirt, I had 30 Marines in the bed to weigh it down for traction, and it was a SLOW ride, but it did move where we needed to go.
