Just wondering what kind of intrest $1,000,000.00 would earn monthly in most banks. Hey, I can dream about winning the Lottery. Yes, I know the odds and I'll probley never win, but I can still dream.

I think most banks offer a 3% rate. However someone who drops that much into a bank would likely get a VIP rate of something better, I would think.

But, at 3%, you would gain around 30,000 a month. :o So after your first month has gone by, you can spend 30,000 a month, and keep the mill ..

    Niiiiice :D
Anyone want to loan me a cool mill for a couple of months? :p:

Oh, and Bubba can spend about 18 million a month to keep his 600 mill.

So, yeah, .. upgrades are now on Budda. :thumb:

    I wish a bank paid 3%/mo :D

3% is yearly, so it is $30,000/yr

Sorry to rain on your parade, but $30k/yr isn't anything to scoff at when it's interest from a savings account :eek1:

    Well, it's compounded daily.
0.03 / 365 is your daily interest rate.

A good savings account will yield 3-4% for that much money. If you look into CD's or mutual funds you are looking at closer to 5-6% for the CDs and 10-12% for a fund, depending on fluctuating interest rates.

With 10% interest, you double your principal in 7.2 years.

A good rule of thumb is the "rule of 72" 72 divided by your interest rate is how long it will take your principal to double.

I've got 22,000 sitting in an account since last June, and would be more than happy to chuck another 30,000 in on top of it.

Well, I would think something along the lines of the world's first Trophy Truck patrol unit:haha: :haha: :haha:

I don't know, couple of WRX's, couple of Hemi Chargers (yes, they are flaming ass fast). Maybe a couple of built K5's.
