Is there an inexpensive way to convert a six lug ten bolt to an eight lug?

It is not cheap. You have to replace everything from the knuckle out. Usually a junkyard wants as much for the parts as for the whole axle.

You can make the whole swap (front end) for around $300-400. Sometimes less depending on parts cost and how much needs to be replaced.

It could be easier to just use the 8 lug to 6 lug spacer plate to make an 8 lug rear 6 lug. The spacer is $250 and you don't need new rims.
