One of those day\'s witth the 88K5

Well, Today I was off-roading with my children trying to get the 88K5 as muddy as possible. My two boys loved it. When we were about to wrap it up and head home, the fuel pump thats in the gas tank died. Yes, out in the middle of the trails I'm dropping the fuel tank while my friend is getting a ride back home to get his truck to tow me home. I wasn't happy. Finished pulling the tank and working with the fuel pump. Got it all back together this evening and now it works fine.

My biggest fear ... out in the boonies, alone and this happening. Gald it worked out OK.

    Pretty truck!

There's been talk of in-line pumps for emergancies. Have you thought about that?

Do you know where to pick one up? This has happened to me twice. Not a fun exprience. But, I'm getting my time down on the repair.

    Hey Allen,

Use the search button above ... type in fuel pump. On 10/22/00 Stephan van Leir mentions a Toyota inline pump as an emergency pump.

See if he can find out more info.

    Don't know myself.

That is a sucky thing right there. Has anyone ever used an aftr.mkt. pump like B.G. or Granitelli to change from in tank to out of tank?

Did some checking at Jegs look at this pump Holley pn#510-512-103. This could help.
