Just wandering if somebody could clear an issue up. I have an 81 Jimmy with two headlights (hi / lo) on each side. My buddies 86 has one on each side. I always thought GM just changed styles but, looking at my LMC catalogue it appears dual headlights came on most years. Was dual headlights an option, is this a misprint?

Dual headlights was an option. I assume that was Silverado. The lesser trim options (custom deluxe, etc) had teh two headlight grilles. There were numerous variations, such as no lights whatsoever under the two top headlights, or, in teh case of my buddies custom deluxe, two large parking lights/turn signals underneath. Probably a lot depended on year, because in '81, and maybe '82, you could get lights in the bumpers, or that was standard, negating the need for lights in the grille area.
