Well today I decided to go out and cut the old jeep truck up I have so I could have it hauled away. They wont take it whole because I dont have the title but they will take it cut up. So anyways I cut the front end off with the frame then decided I would cut the cab off with the frame also. So I rolled it up on its side and some gas apparently leaked out becuase while I was cutting the frame a big ol flame started I had a bucket of water by me so I threw it on there, didnt do much good. So found all the garden hose we had and hooked it all up. Took me bout a hour to put it all out and it burned the whole truck. What fun.

At least it was already going to scrap...our 86 Mustang caught fire (electrical) on the weekend, luckily i was home and the garden hose was already on. Even so the interior will need a fair bit of work to repair.[IMG]

I was just hoping the whole time no one would drive by and call the Fire Department then I probably would have wound up with a big fat bill from them.

You got lucky then? I live in a townhouse so I was just happy I was home and the car didn't take the house with it...

Did the scrap guys still take it away?

Did you at least have marshmellows handy..LOL!! J/K Thats kinda scary stuff! A while back we had just dropped in a motor into a friend '68 camaro and were firing it up for the first time. He just spent a s-load of money on this 450 hp engine, so he was real nervous. It FIREd right up. It got warmed up and then all of the sudden FLAMES EVERYWHERE!! He went with the plastic tubing for the oil pressure gauge and the heat from the headers melted it, so the oil shot out everwhere and LIT UP!!!! We all were like HOLY SH!T and grabbed every towl, shirt, rag, we could find and finally got it all out. Better his than mine..LOL Kinda cool once everything was alright. Needless to say he decided to replace it with the copper tubing like I told him to do in the 1st place. I'm done ramblin' now.

Thanks for the warning, I better replace my fuel pump to carb line that is cracking. I'd hate to see the beast go up in flames.

We're just glad you are o.k..

I'll second that. All the blood, sweat, & tears that have gone into my rig and the thought of losing it to fire is too much to bare.

well all my neigbors are Amish so it would have been hard for them to call the fire department lol. I was just worried someone who might drive by would but I got lucky and no one did...

    Hey Scott,
Does that Jeep pick up have the front leaf springs that go under the front axle? If so I might know someone that would give you a few bucks for them. Let me know unless it is already gone.

a while ago, i had a '65 cadillac that i decided would look better as a convertible. being younger and just as dumb as i am now, i used a welding torch to cut it. the rear went fine, but when i was cutting through the roof, some slag dropped into the seat, and smoldered for a bit. by the time i was coming back to the car with the second bucket of water, the whole thing was a fireball. ridiculously large clouds of thick black smoke were [censored] billowing outta there. the fire department was on the way, but we got it put out before they got there.
then, when i finally got all the interior replaced, and cleaned up fairly decent, this dude is trying to make a play on my lady, so i front him in a bar. told him to kick rocks, or i was gonna thrill him right then. so dude goes right to my apartment, and LIGHTS MY CAR ON FIRE!!!!!!
    unfuckingbelievable!!!!!

    so i sold it.

    HOLY SH!T BABLAZER!
I would fooking ring someones neck for that. That is the exact reason i parked my TA at my parents house out in the country. Im just to affraid someone will mess it up. When i say mess it up, i mean that because they would probably destroy it because they cannot steal it. There are at least 3 different things you have to do to start the TA up. And none of those three are an alarm:)

this was just a parts blazer. There was no engine. I bought it for the interior and the sliding rear windows!! It happened on a sunday. nobody was around. The SHO Tauras parked next to it was damaged from the heat. No insurance covered it. He could not turn it into his because the truck wasn't his. we still remain friends though!
