Going too trade off the Dodge Stratus after the bodywork gets done. Kinda like the look of the
OLDSMOBILE ALERO. Anyone know anything about them ?? Good or bad ?? Might be looking at a 99 2 door with 43,000 miles on it. It's only a 4cyl. , but it'll just be a daily driver, nothing special.

I've been driving one as a rental for the last 2 months. I'm only 230 and I think they're kinda small. They ride nice but could use a lil more power

[/ QUOTE ] The 98 Dodge Stratus isn't no powerhouse either. Just looking for a somewhat sporty looking car that'll get good mpg's, be relieable, and fairly cheap (Under 10,000, the more under, the better). Hows that Alero handle ?? My main use will be too run to town to the store, and maybe some interstate driving. I go on little 50 too 100 mile trips every couple of weeks or so.
Plus it looks like there'll be enough room in the trunk for a pair of 12's in a sealed box. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

Handles well for what it is. Mileage is about 30-31. I put about 400 miles a week on it. It is more big person friendly than my wifes Miata though /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Found a 2000 Alero with a V-6 automadic with 30,000 miles on it for under $8,000.00 It's a 2 door, and blue. Only thing, it's on the other side of the state. The Stratus go's into the body shop to be repaired monday morning. They said they'll need it for 3 days. I'm thinking 1 week from monday I'll have too go get the blue alero. www.kelolandautomall.com/getimage.asp?size=small&w=210&pid=335793 www.kelolandautomall.com/getimage.asp?size=small&w=210&pid=335794 www.kelolandautomall.com/getimage.asp?size=small&w=210&pid=335795 www.kelolandautomall.com/getimage.asp?size=big&pid=335793
