Okay I'm lazy, no use to denie it. I hate too do the dishs, so I'm thinking of buying a dishwasher. I'm trying to stay under $250.00 so I'm kinda limitted on what I can get. What do you think of this one ?? Please feel free to post links to dishwashers in the $250.00 or less price range. Thank you. (Note; I've been on a home improvement kick lately. Replaces all the door knobs in the trailer house with Fancy knobs , replaced the outside lights with fancy looking motion lights . Tryin' to bring up the value of my trailer house, might sell it and move back to Omaha in a year or two.)

How about a "potlicker dog"? Pup's are cheap, fun, a little messy, probably nastier than any pile of dishe's. /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif

Well, it looks like this post has gone all to hell.

I have a Consumer Reports at home that I'll take a look at tonight. I can't remember for sure but I believe Frigidaire was at the bottom of the reliability ratings. I'll check it out sometime tonight or this week and get back to you. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I hear that. Part of the goal is too increase the resale value of this trailer house. I do plan on moving back to the Omaha area in the next couple of years or so. I'll need to sale this trailer to be able to buy another one down there. Plus I really am lazy, and a in counter dishwasher will be nice. Cost of living is high up here couse it's a tourist trap. I like the Black Hills, but it is expencive to live up here. For what I have invested in this trailer house, and what lot rent runs, I could be in a much nicer trailer (Or crappy small house) in the Omaha area. I'm thinking a small town no more then 20 miles out side the city limits of Omaha. Yes, I miss Omaha. I don't know why, but I miss it.

Ok, on repair history, Frigidaire is 2nd to last at 15% (meaning highest repair %). Whirlpool and Kenmore are the best at about 5%, followed by Hotpoint, Maytag, and GE at 8%. On the lowest priced models, Consumer Reports seems to like Kenmore 1552 model for $330...cleans excellent, but is "noisier and has loading flexibility". The only one they tested that was less than $300 was the Hotpoint HDA3700 for $280...cleans good but, again, is noisier and has less loading flexibility. Seems like the Hotpoint is a contender if you're looking to stay around $250...Hotpoint is the 3rd most reliable brand. But if you can afford a little more you might want to check out that Kenmore model 1552. Hope it helps! Good luck! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
