Want opinions on black wheels, mainly on a black truck. Is it to much black /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif? I think it is, but I am having very few choices for wheels with a descent back space. Mainly my choices are between an Allied Rock-A-thon in 17x8 with a 3.5" back space.

or Walker Evans Beadlock 17x8 with a 3.75 backspace. I know its not black but it is my other option.

The word for colour on the lips and hearts of all RJ's is "flat black"

i say black too. i look at it this way. when i go out wheeling and i scratch something, it's cheaper to get out a can of spray paint and touch it up, rather than sending it in to get rechromed, or buffed out if it's stainless or polished aluminum.

How long were you in the presence of the Stock Wannabe Prerunner K5 and you're asking this? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Are you repainting your truck soon? I did the black wheel thing at first cause I thought it would look good and I liked it when my paint was still in descent condition and everything was shined up and blinging......

I think black wheels would look good on your truck and wouldn't want to see you wreck up some nice and shiny Walker Evans wheels; but then I always noticed your diffs were your "hang-up." [IMG]

And one last tidbit, I noticed that with the shiny paint and the shiny black wheels, everything looks much better with the tires gleaming with Armor-All. /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif

Yours was the only truck I could picture that was all Black. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif. I am probably going to repaint it this winter, with various other things.

    I wouldn't feel guilty about smacking up a W/E wheel. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I have black wheels and my truck is a REALLY dark blue..I think it looks good...Black wheels on a black truck will look tight as long as you keep chrome lug nutz (I like the 9/16" closed-end acorns that I am using on my 3/4ton stuff) The Faux bead lock would look cool too

I think black wheels looks reaaly nice on a black truck.

I found out though when I changed from my damaged blackspoke to new whitespoke that the white ones looks bigger.

The black wheels kind of dissaperes, but I´ts a question wath you like.
