I am looking for a K5 and went to look at one the other day and got some pics to. Still need to test drive.
    Info:
    black 85
rebuilt 350. (about 2K miles since rebuild) and it does sound really healthy
    sm465
Says the drive drain is strong as well ***BUT i saw a sticker inside the cab that had a switch for plow lights - that kinda worried me, the current owner didnt use a plow, but i dont know the history of it before him...how bad are plow trucks?***
    interior isnt that bad (red)
windshield is cracked pretty good (see pic)
    no radio
it has a new drivers door, but no lock system
    no power locks/windows
    TO the body ---
pretty rusty and ugly...make a nice trail rig though (pics)
the pics can be seen at <a target="_blank" href=http://community.webshots.com/user/joshplagg>http://community.webshots.com/user/joshplagg</a> in the Blazer?? folder.

The truck has been for sale for several months, and sounds like hes sick of having it there. the main thing is the sm465 - i would perfer to have that vs. the auto. he is asking $1600. Any opinions on this - get more info or look else where? There hasnt been much blazer action in the classifieds for a long time. i have to sell my truck first and thats really all the money i can use (college) so hopefully i'll have about $2500 to spend. any idea what to offer the guy? i can walk away from this, so i plan to offer low...its just how low.

    thanks for all the input!

I think it's too much $$$$, you should keep looking til you find something better..

I would offer $500 and no more. It looks pretty well worn and rusty plus it's got weak 10 bolts and a 208 T-case.
By the way love the white walls. LOL

The best offer you can make is one that you are comfortable with. For me, I wouldnt pay $1600 for it. Maybe $1000-1200. I would want to replace the windshield and get some door locks. definitly bigger tires. its all stuff that you have to think about because its stuff that is going to cost you money later. Its good that it has a good engine though. Reliabilty is very important

I wouldn't pay $1600 for that. It is rusted to crap. If it was just body rust, thats one thing, but the frame and everthing is pretty rusted. I would keep looking if I were you.

My Chevy isn't broken, its just out of gas. <a target="_blank" href=http://coloradok5.com/gallery/albuo73>My K5</a>

cool, thanks guys - every time i see it, thats what i think. i know the one i get wont be in the best condition (due to $$ and the MI rust) but that one needed a lot of extra work. If it was an older one (topless [IMG] ) i dont mind putting extra money into it as long as the frame isnt so bad. really the only thing that kept me coming back was the sm465, but its still early and i dont want to rush anything either.
    thanks again!
