Yeah, they always seemed kinda pricey to me.. I'll probably just get another brand of gels thru work when I go that route.. May be forever tho, I pretty much get free lead acid batteries in any size... Hard to justify buying gels when you've got that kinda hookup..

I got an Optima Yellow top D31 (biggest one they make) last year for $80 shipped. :D But that was on discount thru my father-in-law who works for JCI (Johnson Controls), JCI owns Optima. He can buy 2/year at cost. :D
When I was looking last year though, the D31 I found for right around $200 shipped from a couple of places.

I think they changed them a couple years ago. And if you can believe it, a bump in the price was included in the upgrades.

I got my redtop last year for 90 through advance. They did a price match from another place that had them on sale but was out. Look around you can get it cheaper.

Total waste of money. You can get a perfictly Good battery from wal mart for way less than half the price. I cant believe people spend that kind of money on a battery.

Ok...I looked it up one time but what's with the colors? Blue was marine or something like that and then there was yellow and red...can you pull a different amount of amps through each of them or is there more to it?

From my understanding the blue and yellow are deep cycle batteries. They are good for realy demanding use that drains them way down like winching and running trolling motors.

It really sucks when you have to buy two at a time like I do(diesel).
