I am wondering if its ok to use the ORD lift shackles on the stock 3 leaf springs. What would the benifits be? I ask because my current stock ones are shot, and one is already cracked. Do they mess with the handling? Thanks for any reply. Ray

We have a kit with bushings just for the stock springs, so it's not a big deal. There really are no drawbacks, you'll gain a little bit (.25") of ride height, and about a degree of castor but neither is an amount that will be noticable.
Benefits? You won't have to worry about anything breaking again, you'll have a MUCH longer wear life and they're greasable so you can keep everything moving smoothly. That's about it.
