I'm a happy ORD customer with all the prev items I have bought from them. My concern is that us SM465 boys are being left out as far as a doubler is concerned. Why is that?
Is there something wrong with the SM465 that the doubler wont hold up or work right with it?
Stephen, could you please tell us why we no longer have the option of purchasing a doubler from you for our SM465's?

    Thanks

I am curious about this myself. Especially being that I reccomended the SM465 to Waxer since I run it myself. And he went for it because of the doubler that ORD makes. Now I am hearing that it isnt going to be available for the 465 except for the first Gen stuff, I am kinda worried since that stuff will be hard to find.

Don't get us wrong, both Waxer and I think Steve at ORD and his whole crew there are great people. Just concerned about this is all :)

If you can find a 203 for the 465 then there is no reason you can't do a doubler. The issue with using the 465 205 is that 10 spline input shaft. It's not as strong as the 350 or 400 input and I think the concern is failure when that much torq is applied. I do belivee ORD sell the parts needed to convert the 465 205 into a TH400 205.

He has not quit making them, it is just up to you to get the 465 to 203 adapter. They are like hens teeth. It took me a while to find mine. He just finished up my doubler before EJS so he is making them.

I thought I was wrong once,
    but I was mistaken

These guys pretty much nailed it, it's the 465 version 205 that we're not going to support, except in the GEN1, maybe. Reason being the wear that always occurs in the female side of that splined connection. We don't want to have our shaft wearing out. If we keep the Gen1, it uses the factory sacrificial drivesleeve, so we don't have to worry about it. Now you can easily convert the 10 spl input to a 27 spl to use with a our yet to be released TH350 version GEN2 Doubler, or you can swap it with a little more effort to a TH400 version input.

The 465 to 203 adapter is hard to find, when we have them, we do sell them, but that's not often these days. We are kicking around building them from scratch, and it may happen. Hate to see the cost on it, but at least it will be available.
Butch makes a 465 look really good on the trail, it works great. I personally prefer an auto, but there's no reason a manual won't work very well. I don't try to convince anyone one is better than the other, if you like a manual, use it.
