By tomorrow sometime, I should be heading towards a town called Bandon, Oregon, in a truck with a leaking rear pinion seal. And the challenge is, I have to pick up a truck, and be back to Spokane by Saturday.

Can't say for sure that I'll make... in time or at all. But I'll give it a try. If you see a broken down blue crew cab and ugly 24ft car trailer, wave cause it's probably me.

Dang man! IIRC, Bandon is a 1/2 horse town. LoL. I am sure that if any of hte CK5 brothers see you along side the road, they will stop to help out. I know I would. There have been couple times when I see rigs pulled over w/ a CK5 sticker on them. I usually turn around to see if I can help out in any way. Usually, by the time I get back to where they were, they are already gone. I just hope that the Karma will come back for me when I need it! :D

I'm trying to bring one spare of everything. I brought another ring and pinion in the pinion housing just in case.

So I guess if anyone else is broke down in a '73-'87 Chevy 4x4, I could help out.

I'm going to attempt to be back home Saturday morning to meet up with the group of us going to that mud event. If I plan it right... the truck I'm getting may even get it's first mud run in within its 1st day in Washington State.

I grew up about 20 minutes north of Bandon in Coos Bay - Bandon is a very small town - but is becoming bigger due to its very nice resort style golf course. Have a safe trip.

Thanks guys. So, who should I call on when my rear pinion seal goes out completely? :wink1: Any experienced volunteers?

I'm sure I should be fine.

No kidding... I liked the nice cooler weather along the coast.

Well, I survived. I'm sure I'll post a picture story when I get a chance.
