Does anybody know where I could find the original selling price for a 1988 K3500 Crewcab Dually? I just purchased one and am having difficulty getting insurance for it as I am being told that it is a Commercial vehicle rather than a passenger vehicle. Has anyone else ran into this problem? The Insurance company that I use is telling me that if they had the original selling price when it was new, they could make a determination on insuring it.
    Thanks,

    Russ

They're right it is a commercial vehicle as a matter of fact all pickups are. Now a Blazer on the other hand is conciderd a passenger vehicle because there is no bed.

According to USAA if the 7th digit of the VIN is 4 through 9 then it is considered a passenger vehicle. If it is 0 through 3 it is a commercial vehicle.
