Good thing it was free. Wait till it starts breaking down. Parts ain't cheap or easy to find. Still a beautiful car, though.

is that the 230 SL? Nice car.... Sounds a little high on price I think.... I think their should be going about $15-20K in really good shape... if it's the larger their alittle more but not that much, unless they have jumped since we got rid of my dad's '59 190.... I still want the 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing coupe.

I'm pretty sure Mercedes never made a V/6, it's probably the inline 6 though.

    Nice car by the way.

If its an heirloom , that you think you'll keep , and don't plan on selling , then forget what its worth .

Drop a turbo v6 Chevy in there , ala Cyclone . Add a versailles rear end . And surpise some people :thumb:

The Germans can sure build some good cars as long as it's a Porsche or a benz . I have my eye on a MB 1985 500sec . I seen one when I was stationed in Germany from 84-86 and it had the AMG hammer kit  . I've seen lot's of older benz's running around then . They last forever if you take care of them . Leave that car in stock condition . It will only go up in value .
