Check out the truck section of the JC Whitney catalog. They used to sell a fiberglass overhead console that looked pretty trick. I think it fits 76-91 K5's.

I discovered a great product last year in an auto body course I took. Fusor (not sure if its spelled right) is the name of the company that makes the product. It is an extremely strong adhesive for metal to metal work. A kid in the class used it to put on new quarters on his 77 K5, and my instructor used it to install a new roof on a cavalier. When used right it is supposedly stronger than a weld. Not sure how to get it if you can't find it locally, I get it from a local supply store. I plan on using it on a overhead console I'm building for my 63 nova. If you don't find what your looking for in a bolt-on version, I highly recommend the Fusor product.

You could just use the existing trim screw holes up front by the winshield & use self tappers towards the middle of the roof......there is enough room in the middle of the roof to accept screws w/o going all the way threw the roof....not sure though, haven't tried it myself. I'll be installing an overhead console soon.....but mines really light.
