Does anyone know where to get an overhead console like in a 'Burban but for a Blazer?

Out of 24 people who checked out the post not one knows of an after market source for this. The only place I found has discontinued the short style console. Any help would be, well, helpful.

Have you tried the Jeep Tuffy overhead console? Its pretty cool because it is lockable but its also pretty expensive. It adjusts to different lengths.

The overhead consle out of a 90 or better 1500 or sub should fit. I have a 98 1500 and it looks like the overhead consle will fit on my 73 hard top. You could always trim it to fit.

I have put a Dodge caravan over head into a crew cab that belonged to a buddy. It wasnt a perfect fit but it was real close. I dont recall what yr it was out of, he got it. I think it was an early 90s tho, the older boxy ones.

before selling it, i took the overhead console i bought from jcwhitney out of my 78 k20 4x4 and mounted it in my blazer. the one i have is made by steelhorse and cost $64.99. unfortunately i had to do some major trimming to the p-side due to the seat pushing up to allow access to the rear. if you have low back buckets this may not be an issue. depending on what type of interior trim you have (if you have a head liner) mine tends to rattle alittle and if you are tall the sun visors are no longer functionable. i put mine on simpley for looks , but may take them back off. for the most part i think it was a waste of money because it does not really retain stuff to well unless they are large. if i had it to do over again i would not have bought it, but that is my opinion. a nice large locking floor mount console is a better investment.

i have the steel horse model also, and i dig mine. i'm going to remove the coin holder assembly, and use the space for switches. and i'll pull the little garage-door-opener drawer thingie, and mount a CB there.
i made a deal that stops crap from falling forward by the windsheild, and i keep all kinds of odds and ends up there. sunglasses, CD's, hats, whatever.
you do lose the visors, though. when the sun is to my right, low in the sky is about the only time it really bugs me.

Thankyou all for the info. I would like a Burb console. I'll hit the wreckers this weekend.

Are you referring to the shelf-like console? Seems like many on this post use those. I think I would be interested in one that runs in the middle down the center (front to back). Somewhere to keep little odds and ends like sunglasses, tire guage, lights, switches, etc.

Which one are you looking for?
