LOL....that clown Bush was bragging about the 10 G's he just donated.
Surely he could afford to donate more than Ozzy's 175 G's...

If wants to motivate the U.S. Public...he's gonna have to do better than that!!!

Props to Ozzy and Sharon!!!! :thumb: :thumb: :waytogo:

How about you lead the way and you step up to the plate?

In the last few years, I've sat around and read everything and heard all the criticisms of Bush. Some are interesting, some are outlandish, some even have some merit. I even have my own criticisms of the man. I'm even lucky that I get to deal with that facet of what I see wrong with Bush almost everyday that I suit up and go on duty. I'm not so sure that most of the people behind the loudest of criticisms even actually have any experience or personal knowledge of what they speak against Bush though. That's the way it usually works.

Now there's criticism of the amount of money he is given to aid the victims of the tsunami. Being compared to a rock and roller at that. But that's not the point. The point is that this isn't the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. Quit dreaming. That idea is dead. Has been for years now. This is the United States of America. This is a place where men are free to explore most ideas in capitalism. This is a place where men are free to do what they want and how they want with the money they make once the IRS gets done raping them.

There are very few criticisms of Bush that have been made that I can think of that have been formed from a more shallow, inconsiderate and immature thought process than this one. Reading that crap is not even funny; it's just another pathetic and useless waste of brain power that has unfortunately been formed for public consumption.

This crap is laughable. A comparison of public figures who have given to the relief effort. What a line of buffalo crap! Now it's not the intentions that matter, but the money figure. Did you people pull down your jocks in the high school locker room and compare cock size? Do you people base the value of your Christmas and birthday presents on the net worth of the giver? There are very few brain types in this world that are further down in the gutter than the ones that come up with this level of crap.

Hopefully one day you people grow the **** up and become something useful to society other than a bunch of insecure, materialistic, and shallows spewers of crap like this...........................

Who has the right to say how much (if anything) that anyone should 'donate'? John Kerry is worth ten times what Bush is but nobody mentions him? So, is this an excuse to whine and moan like a pre-menstual woman that your precious democrat didn't get in, or serious debate over how much 'person X' should have or could have donated?

    Bill gates?
Any pro basketball or Football player?

How much have you given?

    No wonder people donate anonymously.

If every person with real money donated a million dollars to every actually worthwhile charity they would all be broke. Don't see Sandra Bullock starving now do we.

I'm NOT knocking the amount that he donated...I really think that's his bussiness.
What I'm knocking...is that he anounced the amount..to try to motivate the U.S. public.
    Well...everyone I talked to is...unimpressed.

Surely Bush could have used some other means to motated to U.S. public.

I guess I was impressed with some of the others with millions..like Ozzy!!!
    I'm a BIG Black Sabbath/Ozzy fan...that's why I gave them props.

As far as my donations...well...I'm going to keep that private..
Because...it's my bussiness...and I'm not out to impress anyone...
just help some people in need.

    No...this is NOT a Republican/Demo thing...
    I'm a independant...that leans Republican...
so...I'm Not a bidder Democrat.

Which is how it should be. As for dollar amounts I am more impressed with someone who gives $20 when they are barely making ends meet than any celebrity giving a million. As for Bush, at least he gave from his own pocket... and with the scope of the disaster no single donation is going to make a huge difference.

I just don't understand the venom and animosity towards a man who donated $10K. I don't care who he is or how much money he may or may not have...he gave, and $10K is a substantial amount of money IMO. I'm certain he wasn't bragging, about how much he gave...

So the US isn't doing enough too help the victoms of the tsunami ??? Okay UN thinkers, where was the aide from the world for the victoms of the Hurricains that hit Florida last year ??? What did the UN and the rest of the world do to help ?? I'm sorry, but there are still people suffering from that. We need too take care of our own first. Do you bleeding heart libs really think that the part of the world hit by the tsunami gives a rat's ass about victoms here in the United States ??? We have homeless and starving men, women, and children in every city in this country, where is the aide for them ???

Bubba - For the most part, I agree with what you said. I'm not going to get into a p*ssing match w/ you because, frankly, it isn't worth the effort on both our parts. But if Bush wanted to motivate the rest of America by giving, then he shouldn't have announced how much he gave. Frankly, in todays economy $10K isn't much of anything. In fact that's approx. 4% of his annual salary as president. Remember, all his expenses are paid so his salary is what the rest of us would refer to as "extra". Also, his family has millions. Let's assume that Bush has at least $1M in the bank from the salary of his first year as president and previous career earnings. If so, $10K is probably less than 1% of his total liquid assets or "personal wealth". WOW!! That musta really hurt the ol' Bush family pocket book! So, the way I see it, Bush has made it easy for every person to step up to the plate and match his charitable donation in terms of percentage and donate at least 1% of their income. Lemme see, your an officer of the law, and in the state you live in, the average annual salary for an officer is approx. $36K so if we work off of averages you'd only need to donate $36. Careful, that might break the bank.

Also, in the future, when you have a point to make, please refrain from the totally useless, verbal vomit you are so eager to spew at those who happen to have an opinion different than your own. It would be suprisingly refreshing if you could make your point in a respectful manner w/out having to immediately resort to insults. Frankly, it's quite childish and immature and gets very old very quickly. You speak of having intelligent conversations or posts in this case, yet, most of yours are focused on belittling and bashing instead of making valid points based on fact.

Notice that not one time in this post did I insinuate that you are stupid, idiotic, or moronic for your point/s of view. Nor did I figure out a way to call you a name w/out actually saying it. If you wish to respond, keep it at the same level. No bashing or name calling, just good thought out conversation.

BTW, Yes, I would help out anyone regardless of religion, political affilition, race, color, creed, economic or social status. Heck, I've even pulled over to help out an officer a few times.:wink1:
