It's pretty simple. Three prototype engines valued at $250k a pop. One filled with coolant at full load from a faulty EGR cooler, one dropped a head off of a valve, split the cylinder liner when the piston couldn't compress the piece of the valve head and the last one dropped an exhaust valve seat at full load. All within 12 days.
EGR cooler... Big diesel?
