Okay this one should be pretty easy. My 73 is currently an Orange/Red color. The tag says it was originally Crimson Red. I am planning on repainting the entire vehicle and of course I will be starting with the inside. But I can not decide on a color. There are only about 4 million red blazers riding around and that was my original choice. But since I bought a new front clip, which is white, I figured why not paint the whole truck white. Well white is easy to clean but its also kinda plain. I was thinking a blue, I found a nice cadillac color(dont laugh too hard) called black saphire. It came on 90-91 caddy's. It kinda looks like a flip-flop job.

If any one has a suggestion please feel free to let me know. Everyones .02 will be considered....

    73 K5, 350, auto w/factory air, 4in susp, 35's

And I said "It's not orange it's Crimson Red"

Hum, in my town we have a handful of K5s, 2 are two-tone blue, 2 are white, a couple of black ones and I have a black one and a red one. The white ones look pretty good, but I'm real partial to black.

    Have fun with it

If I were to ever change the color of a vehicle or buy a new one, I would go with some sort of blue. Either a deep "midnight" blue or a bright royal blue. I would go with a blue on the outside and a medium gray on the inside. I think they would look good together. In addition, medium gray on the inside wouldn't show scuff marks and such as bad as white.

I've always liked the look of a light slate metalic blue. Kinda a gray blue color. but I'm gonna paint my truck white. She won't be plain at all when I'm done [IMG].

    I've got a mind like a . . . a . . . what's that thing called?

Next time I paint anything, it's going to be the brightest orange I can find - that, or House of Kolor glow in the dark green[IMG]

I'm in the process of painting (actually powder coating) mine a dark blue. It's almost identical to the color of a billiards 2 ball.

How about Burnt Orange Metallic. It was a Mopar color in the late 60's and early 70's. I think they have a similar color now on the new Mopars.

I'm doing that right now. It is not a flat olive drab like I wanted, but then again I only paid 300 bucks for the paint job. I'll make a post with pics.
